Authentic Caisson Military Burial Provides “Honors for Service”

Hawk's Flight Services, LLC is now privileged to offer the time-honored military protocol of the caisson burial service to the families of any veteran who desires these honors at the newly commissioned Sarasota National Cemetery, Sarasota, Florida and other selected veterans' burial grounds.

Throughout history, mankind has defined an individual's death with varying levels of burial rituals and ceremonies. In the United States, one of the most revered of these ceremonies is the military caisson burial service honoring its fallen soldiers and commanders.

When Hawk’s Flight Services, LLC learned of the plans for the new National Cemetery, we knew our experience could be valuable in offering a new dimension to the military honors being paid to each veteran.

Hawk’s Flight Services, based just a few miles east of the Sarasota National Cemetery at Hawk’s Flight Farm LLC, is dedicated to providing an enhanced level of service to Sarasota National Cemetery and other veterans’ burial grounds. In addition to the authentic horse-drawn caisson and limber, which are identical to those used in Arlington National Cemetery, Hawk’s Flight Services provides the Chief of Peace horse and outrider and, where appropriate, the traditional “riderless” caparison horse.

Hawk’s Flight Services is working directly with the Caisson Platoon, 3rd U.S. Infantry, to ensure that every detail of these services fully honors our veterans.
